Hi, I’m the real Ms. Tilly Mae! I live in northern Minnesota with my mom and dad. I love walking down our dirt road to get the mail. But my favorite thing of all is going on adventures—and sharing them with you!

THE PERSON BEHIND THE ADVENTURES
Meet Katie.
Hi, I’m Katie Embree! I live in northern Minnesota with my husband and my favorite dog ever—Ms. Tilly Mae. I’ve raised three children and have spent many years working with kids through churches, nonprofits, and coordinating academic competitions. Children and dogs have always held a special place in my heart.
Tilly and I go everywhere together. She loves a long road trip, an airplane ride, and just about anyone she meets. She falls in love with everyone—and somehow, everyone falls in love with her, too!
Through loss in my life, Tilly has been a steady source of comfort, companionship, and joy. Seeing her bring that same warmth to others, especially children in a classroom, is one of my favorite things.
Our adventures often come with a little commentary—I love imagining what Tilly is thinking and saying it out loud! When we travel, I send pictures to friends and their children, telling the story of our trip through Tilly’s eyes. After following along, one dear friend encouraged me to turn those adventures into a book. And that’s how Ms. Tilly Mae Travels began!
